Jason Cook was born on September 13th in Los Angeles. One of his favourite hobbies was playing the piano. By the age of twelve Jason played the piano on weddings and won several competitions. He never considered acting as a career until he got the lead in Whodunnit, his highschool play. After opening night, Jason told his mom that this is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life!
Jason's first acting gig was as the host for the Disney Channel's Project Time, an arts and crafts demonstration show, which he juggled with his academics and as the lead scorer on his soccer team.
In his spare time Jason enjoys reading and playing the piano.
Jason Cook plays the popular, sweet and down to earth Shawn Brady. Shawn Brady was born to Bo and Hope Brady. Shortly after his birth, The Bradys left on a three-year cruise around the world. Although he has spent a good portion of his life without Hope, he has formed bonds with several "step-moms." He has always wished for a tight family unit and, with his mother's return to Salem, Shawn's dreams came true.
The Brady's were put through quite an ordeal when Stefano DiMeras thugs kidnapped Shawn. Stefano planned to "save" the boy and thereby make himself out to be a hero. Shawn escaped, however, before Stefano's devious plan was carried out.
When Hope made the transition to Gina, she sent Shawn to the Westborough Academy. Shawn "broke out" of the boarding school and returned to Salem with a new bad-boy look and attitude to match. Back at home, Shawn openly voiced his concerns about his "mother." Later, when "Hope" eventually died they found out that she may be Gina and Hope might still be alive, Shawn accompanied his father and family back to France to find his mother. The real Hope returned to Salem and Bo and Shawn are enjoying a more stable family life. Shawn loves to play and active part in his brother JT's life. He is the model brother and according to Belle and Mimi will make a perfect father for his own children.
Back at Salem High, Shawn established himself as a dominant force. He had quickly managed to win the attention of many girls. He had first made fast enemies with Philip Kiriakis, but they later became good friends. Initially, Shawn and Philip were in competition over Belle Black, but when a new girl, Chloe Lane, came into town, they butted heads trying to win her. Eventually Philip came out on top and won Chloe. Shawn is currently dating Belle Black, but their reationship is at in a rocky edge. This is due to Shawn dedicating his time to helping Jan, who is going through a difficult ordeal. Shawn's little brother J.T. could also be taken away from him and his family due to a "baby switch" at the hospital. Will Shawn and Belle's relationship survive? Could he end up with Jan?
